'''Artifacts''' are found items that can be donated to the [[museum]] for display or sold.

'''Artifacts''' are found items that can be donated to the [[Museum]] for display or sold, though these items tend to sell for very little gold.

They can be found by using the [[hoe]] on areas of the ground with 'dancing sticks' or 'worms'. These marked areas will reward different artifacts depending on their location. Some artifacts also can be found in [[fishing]] treasure chests.

Artifacts aside from the Ancient Seed are not used for [[Crafting]] or requested by [[Villagers]] for quests.  

Artifacts are not used for either [[crafting]] (except ancient seed) or requested for [[villager]] quests. Donating to the [[museum]] will give the player rewards when donated milestone numbers are reached ([[minerals]] can also be donated), or when specific artifacts are donated. A donation can only be made once for each item.

Aside from [[museum]] donation there are a few artifacts with unique unlocks:

*Donating Ancient Seed to museum pays out in Ancient Fruit seeds, and crafting recipe for conversion of artifact seeds into planteable version, should more be found.

 

*Ancient Seeds and the dwarf scrolls (Dwarf Scroll I, Dwarf Scroll II, Dwarf Scroll III, and Dwarf Scroll IV) are the only artifacts which can drop from monsters. Donating all four scrolls to the museum unlocks a special reward which allows players to understand the dwarf language and interact with [[Dwarf|the merchant]] inside [[The Mines|the mines]].

*The dinosaur egg can be incubated in a [[coop]], similar to normal egg, to produce a [[Animals|dinosaur]], which lays more dinosaur eggs when fully grown.
