If the above method doesn't work on Mac, try this (thank you to Lew Zealand on the Stardew Valley Forums!)

Clicking the screenshot button the first time creates a new folder called "Screenshots" and adds a button to open the folder directly from options.

*1. In Finder, select "Home" from the "Go" dropdown menu  

 

*2. In the folder, select "New Folder" from the "File" dropdown menu and name it "local" (do not name it .local)

*3. Search "Terminal" and open the file

# In Finder, select "Home" from the "Go" dropdown menu  

*4. Enter or copy/paste the following command: "mv -i local .local" and hit Return/Enter

# In the folder, select "New Folder" from the "File" dropdown menu and name it "local" (do not name it .local)

*5. Back in your user folder in "Finder", select "Go To Folder" from the "Go" dropdown menu

# Search "Terminal" and open the file

*6. Type in ".local" in the box and click "Go". The folder "local" should still be there.

*7. Make a new folder and call it "share"

# Back in your user folder in "Finder", select "Go To Folder" from the "Go" dropdown menu

*8. Open "share" and make a new folder called "StardewValley"

# Type in ".local" in the box and click "Go". The folder "local" should still be there.

*9. Open "StardewValley" and make a new folder called "Screenshots"

# Make a new folder and call it "share"

# Open "share" and make a new folder called "StardewValley"

# Open "StardewValley" and make a new folder called "Screenshots"
