The fact of the matter is, the current section on giant crops is unintelligible and provides almost no practical information; if the reader needs to do complex mathematics to comprehend the meaning of a page, the page is badly written.  Removing useful and correct information just because it's not universal is pretty ridiculous. If you want there to be uniformity, feel free to add that yourself, don't cut off your nose to spite your face.
