After earning 4 hearts of [[Friendship]] with the [[Wizard]], the player can enter his basement and change the style of cat or dog at [[the Shrine of Illusions]] for {{price|500}}. The pet cannot be changed from cat to dog or vice-versa.

After receiving full friendship with the pet, Marnie sends you a letter about how well you took care of your pet, and announcing that she will now allow you to adopt pets. To adopt a pet, you need to purchase another water bowl from the [[Carpenter's Shop]] for 5,000g and 25 [[Hardwood]]. You can adopt more pets at [[Marnie's Ranch]] under Adopt Pet. Dogs, cats, and turtles can be adopted.
