The Carp is a fish that can be caught during any season, if you know where to look. The best place to try is from the west side of the mountain lake, near the mines. Carp can be found at the lake or in the pond in Cindersap Forest during Spring, Summer, or Fall. But it is also available during any season in the pond in the Secret Woods or in The Sewers.

- The Carp may be randomly requested during Spring, Summer, or Fall at the "Help Wanted" board outside Pierre's General Store for a reward of 90g per fish and 150 Friendship points.
Note
- Carp will never sell for more than 67g under any circumstances, making it more efficient to turn them into Carp Surprise (sell price 150g) or Sashimi (sell price 75g) before selling them. (Four Sashimi are more profitable than 1 Carp Surprise.)
- Carp are one of the easiest fish to catch, never moving past the 2nd or rarely 3rd bar on your fishing meter in the fishing mini-game, making it easy to get PERFECT on your catches.
