However if profit is your goal, then you are ''always'' better off processing ingredients, i.e. in a [[Preserves Jar]], [[Keg]], [[Mayonnaise Machine]], or [[Cheese Press]].
The only noteworthy exceptions are [[Algae Soup]] (+{{price|40}}) and [[Pale Broth]] (+{{price|100}}), and also [[Sashimi]] for low tier fish, since cooking is the only way to process algae and fish.
Aside from these three recipes cooking for profit only becomes attractive if your ingredient production greatly exceeds your processing capacity.
