The game displays a "Perfect!" catch if the fish never leaves the green rectangle. Perfect catches grant two benefits:

Typically this is achieved by ensuring the fish never leaves the green rectangle, however it is possible to obtain a perfect catch while not reeling in the fish the entire time if you have the [[Treasure Hunter]] tackle equipped and have the fish exit and renter the green rectangle while the treasure chest is being captured. Perfect catches grant two benefits:
* If it is a silver or gold quality fish, the quality of the fish is increased by one. (''i.e.,'' a silver quality fish becomes a gold quality fish, a gold quality fish becomes an iridium quality fish).
