Mead is an Artisan Good made from placing Honey inside a Keg, taking 10 hours. Unlike Wine and Juice however, the value of the Mead is not affected by the type of honey used, having a fixed price of data-sort-value="200">200g (which only aging and Artisan can increase). Since this is lower than the price of almost every honey produced from flowers, it is best to produce mead only from Wild Honey.
In Spring, the available flowers, Tulip and Blue Jazz, produce Honey of lower or the same value as Mead (data-sort-value="160">160g and data-sort-value="200">200g respectively). While turning Tulip honey into mead would be more profitable than selling it as is, it is recommended to farm Blue Jazz honey from the start since it can be sold immediately for the same price without having to wait and take up a Keg which could otherwise be used to create other products.
Another strategy is to stockpile all the Wild Honey one gathers during the first three seasons and then turn it all into Mead in Winter, since it is more likely that the player will have fewer to no crops to use at a Keg by that time.
Mead can be placed inside casks to age. While inside a cask mead can go above "gold star" quality to reach "iridium star" quality. Iridium star level quality doubles the base level value of an item.
