The products produced always sell for more than the raw fruits, vegetables or fish roe used to make them (except in the case of [[Blackberry|Blackberries]] after learning the [[Bear's Knowledge]]), so using a Preserves Jar is almost always profitable.  Jellies and Pickles are always regular quality, so the profit made from processing items is lowest when using iridium quality and highest when using regular quality items. In the case of both the roe and the aged roe/caviar are always regular quality.

Note that the processing time for a Preserves Jar is 4000 minutes except for [[File:Sturgeon_Roe.png|24px]] [[Sturgeon]] [[Roe]] which produces {{name|Caviar|class=inline}} in 6000 minutes.
