Stone is a basic resource obtained by mining rocks with a pickaxe. Stone can also be purchased from Robin at the Carpenter's Shop, or found in Fishing Treasure Chests. Stone Golems and Gray Slimes also drop Stone. Fifty stones can also be received as a gift from Robin at the Feast of the Winter Star. Stone may also be obtained by digging up an Artifact Spot. A Stonefish Fish Pond may produce 30 Stone when the population reaches 9. Stone can also be acquired by fishing in the fountain left of the Community Center.

Normal rocks yield between 1 and 3 stones. Boulders yield 10 stones.

Stone is used in various crafting recipes and is also required as a form of payment when purchasing certain buildings and building upgrades at the Carpenter's Shop. The Desert Trader will sell 1 Fiber in exchange for 5 Stone on Tuesdays.

Purchase Price

The price of stone at the Carpenter's Shop increases from data-sort-value="20"> 20g to data-sort-value="100"> 100g starting in Year 2. The player will receive a letter in the mail on Spring 1 of Year 2 saying "Notice: The price of raw materials at Robin's shop and Clint's shop has increased." The gold obtained by selling stone to Robin or through the Shipping Bin is unchanged.

99 Stone are required for the   Construction Bundle in the Crafts Room.

Tailoring

Stone is used in the spool of the Sewing Machine to create the Work Shirt.  

Quests

  • Robin may place a Special Order requesting that the farmer mine 1000 pieces of stone within one week, at which point the player may keep the harvested stone. If completed on time, Robin will mail the farmer the recipe to create a Stone Chest.

Tip

  • One method of gathering large quantities of stone is repeatedly entering and exiting the 1st level of the Mines and only breaking boulders.
