The Calico Desert is an exterior map region located far to the northwest of Pelican Town. The weather here is always sunny (even if it is raining everywhere else in Stardew Valley), and the seasons are all the same.

The desert is inaccessible until the Bus at the Bus Stop has been repaired by completing the Vault bundles at the Community Center or by purchasing the Bus Repair for 40000 from the Joja Community Development Form.

Once repaired, bus tickets can be purchased at the Bus Stop for 500 per round trip, as long as Pam is present (10:00 am - 5:00 pm each day except for the 25th of Spring). Warping is the only way to reach the Desert when Pam is not at work.  Pam will patiently wait by the Bus for the rest of the day (to 2:00 am even) to drive you back to Stardew Valley. No in-game time passes during the bus ride to or from the desert. If you warp to the desert and then take the bus back to Stardew Valley before Pam is present at the bus stop, The player will be shown in the drivers seat of the bus instead of Pam.
