More Info

Should we add info on the items Professor Snail gives you as you complete skeletons? I personally think we should, but please tell me if anyone doesn't think we should. PrismaticGlasses (talk) 22:00, 21 May 2021 (UTC)

I don't think that's a detail that belongs on this page, similar to how Marlon's or Gil's pages simply state that they give rewards for certain actions, then link to the page with the details of the rewards. I'll add that he gives more than just Golden Walnuts for donations, though. margotbean (talk) 00:01, 22 May 2021 (UTC)
Actually, strike that, the rewards for completing the collection don't seem to belong on the page either. I added it, then previewed, and it was too much info. for the scope of the page. Sorry, margotbean (talk) 00:04, 22 May 2021 (UTC)

Introduction

It says there that you need 2x Explosive Ammo to free Professor Snail from the cave. However, I just needed one. I was using a Master Slingshot and, before blowing it up, I hit the blockage roughly 50 times with an Iridium Pickaxe. Might that have anything to do with it? Marcelbpunkt (talk) 10:42, 2 July 2021 (UTC)

I think the difference is in using a regular slingshot vs. a Master slingshot. Master slingshots do 2x the damage. I just tested in-game, and with a regular slingshot I had to use 2 explosive ammo. I'll update the page accordingly. Thanks for pointing this out! margotbean (talk) 18:53, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
Hi, Margotbean. Just now, I tested it many times in the game, and now I'm confident that with a regular slingshot it only takes one explosive ammo, too. I don't know if this was changed in one of the updates since July 2021, or you just missed it on your first test(Yes, the target is easy to miss. If the ammo hits the wall around the boulder and explodes, it looks like the boulder was hit but that doesn't count. I even used 4 ammos once during my tests before I realized that my ammos might missed, but most of the time it only takes one). Maybe we need to correct the information on the page...--Shirotsuki (talk) 13:17, 21 April 2023 (UTC)
I don't have a test save, so I'll take your word for it. It seems you've tested pretty thoroughly! I've gone ahead and changed the page. Thank you!! margotbean (talk) 16:21, 21 April 2023 (UTC)
