A lot of these shirts are references to other media, along with the game itself. Where should I put this trivia, the tailoring page or the item that makes the shirt? SlashJay (talk) 02:11, 13 July 2022

It seems you've already put them on the individual pages, so you've answered your own question. Be careful, though, not to claim something that ConcernedApe hasn't confirmed. Use language like "may be a reference to" or "is likely a reference to" instead of "is a reference to". Thank you! margotbean (talk) 14:30, 13 July 2022 (UTC)

Non-tailored sources 1.6

... which would be spoilers and thus need the spoiler tag, but also are only viable in the 1.6 release. I want to note that so-and-so can be found from such-and-such, but how do I respectfully add these details to the page? or should I let concerned ape's own patch note about being able to find "cosmetics and goodies" from "doing random things?" For now I'm just privately noting what's happened in my personal, new run that is not yet on the item's notes. But there's a lot of details to parse out from the update so I imagine I'm not alone. i'm also discovering a bunch of shirts that are not otherwise found from tailoring but as random drops. it would have been better if there was a separate shirts page to cover all the shirts. Sooji gooji (talk) 07:02, 29 March 2024 (UTC)
Clothing that cannot be tailored doesn't belong on the Tailoring page, they should have their own individual pages and be a separate item in Template:NavboxClothing, like the Luau Skirt. Hope this helps! margotbean (talk) 17:59, 30 March 2024 (UTC)

Splitting up the Tailoring Page

I want to put forward the idea that the Tailoring Page should be broken up into separate collection pages for each kind of clothing, due to the size of the page and the number of untailorable items in the game. This way, the Tailoring page can be made smaller, compacting information the tables by removing information not related to tailoring (e.g. descriptions, alternative sources, untailorable items) while still maintaining easy references of all clothing in the game for collectors. This would also facilitate adding extra clothing-related information unrelated to tailoring, for example marking which shirts can/cannot be dropped by the getRandomCosmeticItem() function. Hey! I'm inclined to agree, perhaps the Tailoring page could have subpages like "Tailoring/Shirts" with details not specifically related to tailoring, while the main page just keeps the tailoring recipes. That would be a big change, so I think we should wait and see how the admins feel about that. Also, technically, the non-tailorable shirts shouldn't be on the Tailoring page. That's why there are separate pages for Emily's Magic Shirt and the Mystery Shirt. Most of the non-tailorable shirts are just named "Shirt", so maybe a page called "Non-Tailored Shirts" or something similar could be made to encompass those items. Again, that's a big change, so I'd like to know what others are thinking. Bluestblur (talk) 13:56, 10 April 2024 (UTC)
