-Hat Mouse is an NPC that moves to the valley after the player completes their first [[achievement]]. After completing the achievement, the player will receive a letter the following day in the mailbox from Hat Mouse telling the player that they are now selling hats.

-Hat Mouse sells hats from their shop out of the abandoned house in [[Cindersap Forest]] during any time during the day. Upon moving in Hat Mouse hangs up a banner on the front of the abandoned house with the text "HATS" written on it as well as another, smaller sign containing an image of a top hat. The abandoned house remains broken and canot be fixed.
-The player is unable to interact with Hat Mouse outside of the shop, nor do there receive any further letters from them. Players are unable to give gifts to Hat Mouse and their birthday is not listed on the calendar outside of [[Pierre's General Store]] despite their residence in the valley. Hat Mouse also does not place any "Help Wanted" ads.
-The letter received by the player from Hat Mouse contains numerous spelling mistakes. Similarly, [[Secret Note #23]] also contains many misspellings. This is likely representative of the fact that both Hat Mouse and the Bear being animals and unlike most other NPCs.
