“...Have you encountered others like me, in the mines? I'm sorry if they were hostile towards you. You see, we've learned to fear humans... there have been too many... unpleasant encounters.”
— Krobus

Krobus is the only friendly monster players will encounter. He's a shadow brute who lives in the sewers. He lives there because he's too sensitive to sunlight to go outside during the day.

He sells a variety of rare goods.

Relationships

Krobus is a shadow brute and, although he isn't hostile, still refers to other monsters as "his friends". He lives in the sewers and isn't seen outside interacting with other villagers. He dislikes dwarves, stating that a 1,000 year war between the dwarves and his people recently ended. He believes if the dwarves knew where he was, they'd send an assassin.

The Wizard is aware of his presence and intervenes to prevent conflicts.

Shop

Krobus always sells Void Essence and Solar Essence. A Stardrop, Crystal Floor Recipe, and Wicked Statue Recipe are also available every day until purchased once. He will also sell one other item every day. On Tuesdays he sells the Omni Geode. On Wednesdays he sells a random type of fish or fishing gear – it is unknown whether out-of-season fish are less common, but they do appear. Mixed Seeds are available on Thursdays. The Iridium Sprinkler is always sold on Fridays. On Saturday he sells a random cooking food item (Maki Roll, Blueberry Tart, etc.) in a limited quantity of typically 5.

Schedule

Krobus cannot travel outside in the sun, so he can always be found in the sewers.

Trivia

Krobus states that his name means "bridge-crosser" in his language.
