Stardew Valley was originally released on February 26, 2016 for Windows PC. The mobile version of the game was announced on October 10th, 2018 and released on the iOS app store on October 24th, 2018.

Android support is in late development, but details on the release date have not been made available yet.

Stardew Valley 1.12 was a small bugfix patch released on on iOS on 6 December 2018.

  • Stability improvements to overcome very situational crashing

Stardew Valley 1.11 was a patch released on on iOS on 6 December 2018.

Changes
  • Backup save button in options menu - save at any time with this button. (Full details about new save methods here)

  • Improved error logging (auto send crash details to developers)

  • Fixed settings don't correctly restore on restart

Stardew Valley 1.10 was a patch released on on iOS on 29 November 2018.

  • Added a button to options menu allowing players to swap to their previous save file (and back again)
  • Fixed not adapting for notch on newer iPhone models
  • Fixed text formatting issues on the Geode and Customize menus

Stardew Valley 1.09 was a small bugfix patch released on on iOS on 25 November 2018.

  • Fixed auto save functionality changed to only save when you quit the game
  • Added an option for whether or not to restore the auto-save when you restart - this should help any players who were stuck after a save got corrupted
  • FixedHorse unable to leave farm
  • Support for full-screen resolution on new iPads

Stardew Valley 1.08 was a small bugfix patch released on on iOS on 23 November 2018.

  • Fixed and issue preventing recovering from save errors cleanly - anyone who was locked out of their save should now be able to play again
  • Fixed making it possible to accidentally delete farm building during move
  • Auto save of backups when changing location is now re-enabled (switch it off in options if you encounter any problems)
  • Other stability improvements

Stardew Valley 1.04 was released on on iOS on 13 November 2018.

  • New control system options and improvements (full details):
    • Virtual joystick, invisible joystick options
    • Action / attack button option
    • Auto-Attack - targeting improved to always face the nearest foe. Easier to flee from monsters
    • Joypad adjuster tool - complete customization of your onscreen controls
  • MFi controller support
  • Slide toolbar up and down to access whole inventory
  • Game auto-saves so you can continue where you left off even if you kill the app or the device unloads it*
  • Game saves optional backup each time you exit an area
  • Option to increase the size of numbers in UI

  • Fixed crash during night market after collecting a pearl
  • Fixed casino currency bar hidden by UI

  • Can now tap and hold to move then cast fishing rod

Stardew Valley 1.02 was released on iOS on 26 October 2018.

Changes
  • Can now play audio (e.g. music or podcasts) in the background.
  • Tap and hold movement now lets you exit the side of the screen.
  • Added left/right orientations on iPhone.
  • Added vibration support when fishing on supported devices (enable via options page).
  • Made mounting/dismounting the horse easier.
Bug fixes
  • Fixed potential crash when upgrading buildings.
  • Fixed potential crash when starting combat in a save imported from PC.
  • Fixed potential crash when when opening the quest journal in a save imported from PC.

1.01

Stardew Valley 1.01 was released on iOS on 25 October 2018.

Bug fixes
  • Fixed blacksmith menu not exiting properly.
  • Fixed players not able to hold to chop hardwood stumps and the Secret Woods log.
  • Fixed virtual joystick conflicting with hold to move when auto-attack is off.
  • Fixed bug where the left two tiles on a barn door would open it, but the right two would not.
  • Fixed other attack joystick bugs.

1.0

Stardew Valley 1.0 was released on iOS on 24 October 2018.

Changes
  • Initial release, with all single-player content up to computer version 1.3.28 (no multiplayer).
  • Rebuilt for touch-screen gameplay (new UI, menu systems, and controls).
  • Added support for iPhone and iPad.
