Old Mariner

Old Mariner is an NPC who appears on the right area of the beach who is mostly shrouded in mystery. He is responsible for selling Mermaid's Pendant, a marriage token. Two conditions must be met for him to appear:

-Bridge on beach must be repaired
-Weather must be rainy or stormy

These conditions do not absolutely guarantee he will appear, although he is usually on the beach when these conditions are right.

• NoteThe snowing weather condition does not make him appear, making it impossible to see the Old Mariner during winter.

Once met, if a player is not eligible for marriage, he will say, "I've got this old amulet to sell... but somethin' tells me yer not ready for it, lad/miss." If the player has a relationship with an NPC that is 10 hearts and a bouquet has been given, the player may purchase the pendant for 5000g. After using the pendant he will say, "Glad the Amulet worked out for ye, lad/miss."
