While abundant once you arrive at the volcano, Cinder Shards can be risky to obtain. Am I right to say these can't be replicated by the Crystalarium? Is there a good reason why that is? Unless a player has obtained Galaxy Sword when arriving at the Volcano (me, I wasn't aware of it yet)... it can be quite deadly to get a good number of these to forge items. I feel dumb, but I was taking a beating before I got the Galaxy Sword, and I needed these really bad. --MacCentris (talk) 18:18, 16 June 2022 (UTC)

The game considers Cinder Shard to be a "Resource" and not a "Mineral" or "Gem", so it can't be placed in a Crystalarium. I can't say why that decision was made, only ConcernedApe could answer that question. So sorry! margotbean (talk) 18:26, 16 June 2022 (UTC)
