Kegs vs Jars information snippet

This has always bothered me:

"It should be noted that these calculations only involve the value gained in terms of max profit; if looking at profit per day based on the time required, the preserves jar will outpace the keg regardless of the base value of the item (in every case except for Hops and Wheat) since the preserves jar has a much faster processing time."

because I've done calculations on min-maxing for Ancient fruit specifically, where kegs are definitely better than jars per year when min-maxed. The quoted information for keg seems to provide misunderstanding for general readers, which might lead them to interpret kegs to be inferior to preserves jars. Although, I do understand why preserves jars would give max profits per day as opposed to kegs, since jars are considerably faster, I think this statement was made on the assumption that keg users wont try to compensate for farm production.

for example:

if I have 100 crops, and only one keg versus one jar. for sure the jar would probably produce much more than the keg since processing times are different (especially for fruits). For that, the quoted part of the wiki is correct. However, the player can always compensate for Keg slowness by providing 7 kegs vs 3 jars (their respective processing times for fruit produce), and in that case, for sure kegs would provide much better profit per day.

so what I mean to say is, can we add a disclaimer after the quoted part of the wiki that clarifies this statement. where the comparison was done on equal amounts of kegs vs jars. Because if keg amount and jar amount is adjusted respectively for crop-area size, then kegs are almost always better. --NotJoshuaNotJoshua (talk) 10:00, 24 April 2021 (UTC)

It doesn't make sense to add a line that says "you can make up for the slower processing time of kegs by adding more kegs to your farm". margotbean (talk) 18:50, 24 April 2021 (UTC)
