Moving the DE page

can someone please move the German page from "Einstellung" to "Szenerie"? The word Einstellung only means "Setting" in the programming sense, e.g. program properties, monitor setting, etc. It can also mean attitude but it would never be used in a narrative sense. Szenerie would be the most fitting translation. Dubesor (talk) 18:56, 1 May 2021 (UTC)

Done! Thanks for providing a better translation, I remember struggling with that one. ;) margotbean (talk) 19:05, 1 May 2021 (UTC)
Thank you! Yea I just recently discovered on the German wiki that page existed and was very confused :D Dubesor (talk) 19:07, 1 May 2021 (UTC)

Wizards under Organizations and Factions

Why is there a picture of the Wizard under the Organizations and Factions heading? Magic users don't seem to be organized in any way, other than the Wizard and Witch being divorced. If they ARE going to be counted as a faction, there should at least be an actual paragraph describing their role as a faction. I can type this up if need be, but I don't think it makes sense for them to be in that category. Spotteddotted (talk) 16:38, 15 January 2022 (UTC)

Good question! I think the page has probably been that way since 2016. Someone probably expected some more lore about wizards in the game, but then never found it. I'll remove the wizard's image from the gallery, since I can't think of a reason they should be considered a faction. Thanks! margotbean (talk) 14:38, 16 January 2022 (UTC)

Other location found in dialogue files

This has been moved from the main page, pending some research into where (if anywhere) these places are used in-game.

  • Basket Town ("Dialogue.cs.749")
  • Pine Mesa City ("Dialogue.cs.750")
  • Point Drake ("Dialogue.cs.751")
  • Minister Valley ("Dialogue.cs.752")
  • Fort Josa ("Dialogue.cs.756")
  • Chestervale ("Dialogue.cs.757")
  • Tanker Grove ("Dialogue.cs.759")

If anyone can figure out whether they are unimplemented locations, or simply part of Elliott's random sentences shown at start of game (or some other purpose), we can decide if they belong on the page, and if so, where. Thank you, margotbean (talk) 16:42, 3 February 2022 (UTC)

Dialogue.cs defines the range 748 through 759 (the above-referenced locations, along with Castle Village, Grampleton, Zuzu City, "a small island off the coast," and Fern Islands) as what the game will show in dialogue if someone edits the dialogue files to include the term "%place". I say edit because I looked through all of the Content folder files and none of them contain the string "%place" (checked 1.5.6). It's possible the names themselves are hard-coded somewhere (I didn't search for them individually), or that the game calls the Dialogue.places class for something else that I didn't/couldn't find. I'm going to proceed as though they are unimplemented for the time being. Farmerjack (talk) 12:25, 1 February 2023 (UTC)
Thanks for the research! There is a lot of unimplemented code (as of v1.5), so it's likely. margotbean (talk) 17:55, 1 February 2023 (UTC)
Return to "Setting" page.
