Infobox

The infobox template for this item should be modified to remove the second sentence in the description, which should be moved to Banana Tree. That is the proper place for fruit production info. Giles (talk) 02:50, 11 April 2021 (UTC)

The infobox "season" section really ought to be labeled "growing season" and its related info should be changed to the seasons in which the sapling grows, not the seasons when the mature tree produces fruit. Giles (talk) 03:00, 11 April 2021 (UTC)
But Fruit tree saplings are growing in every season, even in winter. And if a Player got a Bananasapling, he looks in the wiki and knows: The Tree will be fully grown in 28 days and produces Bananas in summer. Botautal (talk) 22:27, 12 April 2021 (UTC)
Following up on my reply in Talk:Banana#Infobox Error, the sapling does not give the information that it grows in every season. Why? Because that was overlooked when the article focus went out of sight. In this article, "season" needs to refer to planting and plant growth, not produce production. That's why the infobox "season" section is wrong: it focusses on produce production instead.
If you want all this stuff in one article, it can be done, but not without drawbacks. The Wiki is trying to cut a middle ground that satisfies neither approach, and its drawback is distraction, scattershot presentation of information, and writers' forgetfulness about what all the needed information is. That's a classic problem for documenters of existing things. They become too familiar with what they know, and forget what they need to explain, and sometimes how to slow down and begin with beginnings. One can't eat a meal in one mouthful - at least it wouldn't be recommended. Giles (talk) 16:41, 13 April 2021 (UTC)
