Gold ore is used in a furnace along with coal to create Gold Bars. Each bar requires 5 gold ore and one coal to create. Gold ore can be mined in The Mines at level 80+. In addition it is also a rare drop by ghosts and skeletons before level 80. A gold ore can be sold for 25g.
