Health is measured by a bar next to the players energy bar. It's invisible when full. The only way player health can be impacted is by combat with monsters inside the mines. Outside the mines player Can only be hurt by the train. Besides that health will not decrease.

There are a variety of consumables which can increase health when it's low.
