Secret Notes

Secret Notes are a system added in 1.3.3. After going to the Bus Stop, the player will see a Shadow Person who runs away and hides in a bush next to the community center. If the player interacts with the bush, the Shadow Person will give the player a magnifying glass and run away. This enables the player to find Secret Notes similar to Artefacts or Minerals. Once equipped, activating the secret note will consume it and add it to your Secret Notes collection, viewable from Inventory.

Some notes will list "Loved" gifts for certain characters, while others will have strange pictograms that demonstrate puzzle solutions.

    My idea of a perfect dinner would be salad, goat cheese, truffle, and wine. For dessert I'd need a poppyseed muffin. Yum! If someone gave me one of those things, I'd melt.

    ...There are only a few 'older' bachelors in town, and none of them are perfect! Harvey is really anxious and weak, but I know he would make a loyal and devoted husband. He likes coffee and pickles.
    
    Elliott is a bit foppish and melodramatic, but he does have a nice chin. He likes crab cakes and pomegranates.
    
    Shane is messy and anti-social. But I think his gruff exterior is a defense mechanism, insulating his softness from the world. He likes Beer, Pizza, and Pepper Poppers.

Secret Note #19

Solution

This is a depiction of Kent's house with a series of arrows. Starting at the green square depicted, follow the directions until your character cannot move anymore. This will bring you around the house, through town, and ultimately to a secret statue of the Mayor hidden behind his house.

Secret Note #20

Solution

This is a depiction of the town square. Starting in the center of the eye in town square, follow the directions until your character cannot move anymore. This will bring you around town, up to Joja, and ultimately to a truck beside Jojamart. Interacting with the truck will allow you to speak to a truck driver who requests a rabbit's foot. If you have one in your inventory you can trade it for a Charm that permanently increases luck!

Solution

At exactly 12:40 at night, interact with the bush to the north west of the bridge to the Beach. Now what were they doing in there!?

Secret Note #22

    Greetings <Farmer>...

    Have you found my 'secret' in the dark tunnel?

Solution

Go to the bus stop with a battery, and go west from the bus through the area with Linus's Blackberry Basket, and into the tunnel. Interact with the box on the wall to start Qi's Challenge.

Secret Note #23

Solution

Going to the Secret Woods with maple syrup triggers a cutscene where you interact with a Bear (simply called "Bear") who shares with you his knowledge of berries, permanently increasing the value of Blackberries and Salmonberries by 3x.
