The Player is the character you create and play as.

Upon starting the game, you will be prompted to create your character, being able to choose hair color, eye color, shirt color, name, pet preference, favorite thing and their gender. There is also an option to randomize appearance, if you want to see some variety.

The appearance and gender selected at the beginning of the game has no bearing on gameplay. The only difference between male and female characters is the pronouns characters use when referring to them. Gender selection doesn't limit who you can romance or any other gameplay content.

Character appearance is also not permanent. Players can unlock the ability to change their appearance in later game however you cannot change your gender.
