This is one of the most difficult fish to catch in the game, even compared to [[Fish#Legendary Fish|Legendary Fish]]. To make it even more demanding, the odds of an octopus biting are very rare, and the window of time available to catch it is comparatively small. The most sure-fire tactic is maxing out your [[fishing]] skill, equip the [[Iridium Rod]], eat a [[Seafoam Pudding]], [[Dish o' The Sea]], [[Lobster Bisque]], or [[Fish Stew]], and attach a [[Trap Bobber]] to your fishing pole. Using a combination of a maxed out fishing skill and the [[Iridium Rod]] is often insufficient.
This is an extremely difficult fish to catch, even compared to Legendary Fish. To make it more demanding, the chances of hooking an octopus and the window of time to catch it are very small.
