Fruit trees require to be in the center of a 3x3 empty tile square in order to be planted, that cannot be shared with another fruit tree. They are planted directly onto the earth without [[Farming|tilling]] the space first.

Once fully grown, the surrounding area can be paved with no ill effects on the tree or it's ability to produce fruit.
