It does not yield seeds, but it will spread saplings like a regular tree. During [[Winter]], it will be reduced to a stump, but that stump may regrow in [[Spring]].

Obtaining the first Big Mushroom is a random event that can only happen in the Fall. On each day of Fall there is a 5% chance of a spawning event being triggered. When triggered, the game engine will choose 10 farm tiles at random. If any of those ten tiles have a fully grown, untapped forest tree, then that tree will transform into a Big Mushroom.
