then they would still reach Foraging 4 by bedtime on day 14 by chopping the tops off an average of only 3.5 trees per day. That's without even removing the stumps. That doesn't take much time out of a day and it wouldn't come close to exhausting the number of trees available in the valley. As for the energy to do it, as long as a good mix of trees is chopped, crafting field snacks from the seeds dropped when trees are felled will yield almost as much energy as it takes to fell them; spring onions harvested daily will more than make up the difference. This is without planting any extra spring seeds that you might be able to craft. Or, even if you didn't want to grow any seeds, it's still only 4.7 trees tops per day, not including stumps. Either way, it really isn't difficult for someone who wants to try to get there. [[User:One More Day|One More Day]] ([[User talk:One More Day|talk]]) 13:02, 11 February 2022 (UTC)

::Agree in full. I do this at the start of every new game, and it's never been more than just steady progress to get there in time. I eat spring onions, too, for energy before salmonberry season. Even in games that are stingier with initial forage, it's never a problem. If you want, catch a fish or two, or algae, and there's more energy you can get. Lots of ways to do this.
