This is the area where the player first lands. It contains the dock, a small beach with the ruins of a building (which can later become a Beach Resort), and three paths each leading to one of the other specific areas of the island. This area is reached by walking east from the dock on Island South, and is the first area available upon arrival. [[Leo]] is near this area's entrance when the player arrives, and runs into the jungle as the player approaches.

Initially this area is not available, as a large turtle blocks the path that leads North. After the player follows Leo to his hut, they can return to the beach and find that the turtle is gone, and a [[Magma Sprite]] is there instead. The sprite leads the player north to the [[Volcano Dungeon|Volcano]] when followed.

This area includes everything reached by walking west from the docks on Island South. The entrance to this area is initially blocked by a sleeping turtle, which can be wakened by giving a nearby parrot 10 [[Golden Walnut]]s. This parrot will only appear after the first parrot in [[Leo]]'s house has received its own [[Golden Walnut]].

To unlock the express, the player must pay 10 Golden Walnuts to the parrots stationed at the "farm" location. That site is north of the Island Farm, up the stairs and through the dense trees. This Island West location implies that the site cannot be reached nor the express activated until all four compass directions are open for travel on the island.
