The Secret Woods is area in the northwest corner of the map that is blocked by a [[large log]], which the player can chop down using a [[Axes|Steel Axe]]. It is a natural habitat for a variety of [[Slimes]] and a good source of [[Hardwood]]. Note that there is a hidden section accessible by walking down through the trees, which contains two more stumps, slimes, and potential foraging spots. All Hardwood stumps re-spawn every day.
The pond inside the woods is the only place where one can catch the [[Woodskip]], aside from the [[Forest Farm]].
