Entries are added upon catching the fish.

This tab keeps track of the type and amount of [[Fish]] caught, either using a [[Tools#Fishing Poles|fishing pole]] or [[Crab Pot]].  Entries are added upon catching fish or collecting them from crab pots.  Fish do not need to be shipped to count towards the collection.

Entries are added upon finding the artifact.  The artifact does not need to be donated to the [[Museum]] to be registered.  If found in a [[Fishing#Treasure Chests|Fishing Treasure Chest]], the artifact may not register on the Collections screen.

Note that minerals found in [[Fishing#Treasure Chests|Fishing Treasure Chests]] may not appear as found on the collections tab.  Dragging the mineral outside the inventory window and allowing it to be taken back into inventory may correct this.  Holding the mineral in inventory overnight may also correct this.
