To make it even more demanding, the odds of an octopus biting are very rare, and the window of time available to catch it is comparatively small. The most sure-fire tactic is maxing out your [[fishing]] skill, equip the [[Iridium Rod]], eat a [[Seafoam Pudding]], [[Dish o' The Sea]], [[Lobster Bisque]], or [[Fish Stew]], and attach a [[Trap Bobber]] to your fishing pole. Using a combination of a maxed out fishing skill and the [[Iridium Rod]] is often insufficient.
