The Worm Bin is a piece of equipment that can be used to create bait for fishing. The crafting recipe is unlocked at Fishing Level 8. Creates 2-5 pieces of bait once per day.

Exploit

This was patched out in version 1.1 [1].

Wait until midnight to take the bait produced by a worm bin. At 12:00am start taking the bait, and the worm bin will reproduce more bait every 10 minutes, until you pass out at 2:00am. If you take bait from a worm bin between 6:00am and 11:50pm, it will create no more than 2-5 pieces of bait per day. If you take bait from a worm bin between 12:00am and 1:50am, it will create between 24-60 pieces of bait per day. This is due to the way the game checks how long it should wait before creating the bait. Whether this is an exploit, or by design, is unknown.

Notes

Any worm bins placed outside of the farm, such as on the beach for their proximity to crab pots, will vanish in 3 days, rendering it impossible to make a bait farm outside of the farm.
