==Quick-Start Guide==
 +
Hello and welcome to the wiki!  Below you will find some quick start tips for new editors, especially those assisting with the version 1.5 update.
 +
 +
===New Editor Restriction===
 +
Newly created accounts cannot make large edits.  This is to combat spam and vandalism.  If you're encountering this problem, make a series of smaller edits, saving in-between, until you are no longer considered a new user.
 +
 +
It's a good idea to save large changes to a text file on your computer, so your work isn't lost in case of problems.
 +
 +
===Images===
 +
Please upload only Stardew-related images.  Avatars can be used on the [https://forums.stardewvalley.net/ Official forums], [https://www.reddit.com/r/StardewValley subreddit], or [https://discord.com/login?redirect_to=%2Fchannels%2F137344473976799233%2F337774601696313347 discord channel].
 +
 +
Newly-uploaded images may not display properly on pages, especially if they are resized from the original.  You may encounter an error saying "could not save to database" or something similar.  The only workaround is to wait 5 minutes or so before saving the page with the resized image.
 +
 +
===Spoilers===
 +
Please add <code><nowiki>{{Spoiler}}</nowiki></code> to the top of new pages that relate to 1.5 content.  (This will be removed after version 1.5 is released on all platforms.)  It can also be placed at the top of a section of an existing page that contains 1.5 content.  Use your best judgement about when to place the template on existing pages.
 +
 +
===Stubs===
 +
It's a good idea to place <code><nowiki>{{Stub}}</nowiki></code> on new pages, especially those for which there is missing information.  This can be placed at the top of the page (under the spoiler warning) or immediately after the infobox.
