Jodi's name may be a reference to military cadences, which are often referred to as "jodies". Jody is also derogatory slang for a man sleeping with a military service member's spouse while the service member is deployed(this is where the slang name of the military cadence originated). Jodi's husband is a deployed member of the military during Year 1.
