The products produced always sell for more than the raw input items (except in the case of [[Blackberry|Blackberries]] after learning the [[Bear's Knowledge]]), so using a Preserves Jar is almost always profitable.  Jellies and Pickles are always regular quality, so the profit made from processing items is lowest when using iridium quality and highest when using regular quality items.
