  |details = The event starts when the player enters town. On her way to [[2 Willow Lane|her house]], Haley overhears a conversation between Vincent, Jas, and Penny. Jas complains about her book covers falling off, with Penny lamenting the lack of available funding to purchase new books, though Vincent is excited about possibly not having anymore homework.

part 2: At least one day later, enter the Farm House between 6:20am and 5pm

At least one day later, whenever the player character enters the Farm House between 6:20am and 5pm, Haley proposes with them her idea of holding a charity cakewalk the next day, and asks them to bring a chocolate cake. A dialogue option is given with only two affirmative responses, though choosing the begrudging response humorously results in Haley threatening to make them sleep in the doghouse. A quest is then added to the Journal.

The final part of the event starts when the player character enters Pelican Town with a chocolate cake in their inventory between 6am and 3pm. Most of the villagers are gathered in the town square, with Jas, Vincent, Pam, Emily, Caroline, Marnie, Jodi, and Clint participating in the cakewalk. After the player character delivers the chocolate cake to Haley, she stops the cakewalk and begins to distribute the prizes accordingly, with Pam receiving the player's cake. After all the prizes have been given, Haley reveals that she had overheard Penny's issue the other day, and held the cakewalk to raise money for new books. Penny is grateful to both Haley and the player character for their kindness, with Jas and Vincent respectively excited and crestfallen with the prospect of new books. As this happens, Robin tries to convince Lewis to lower their business tax since education is being funded without tax money, with Pierre joining her against a shocked Lewis.{{review|Trigger and event details validation/update}}
