The Ice Rod shoots an orb of ice every X seconds, freezing any enemies in its path for Y seconds. These values are randomly determined on drop, and can be changed if reforged using an [[Anvil]]. The time between shots is a random value between 3 and 5 seconds, and the freeze duration is a random value between 2 and 4 seconds. These are determined to the millisecond, and with all possible values equally likely.<ref name="IceRodGeneration"/>

After reforging, the Ice Rod may become "Perfect", changing its name to "Perfect Ice Rod". This variant fires every 3 seconds, and freezes for 4 seconds. A Perfect variant can be obtained through combat as well.
