The day cycle is a period of 18 hours in game (or 18 minutes real time; 1 in-game hour is 1 minute) from 6:00AM to 12:00AM (Midnight). Upon reaching midnight, the player character becomes tired and in need of sleep. It is possible to stay awake until 2:00AM the following day, at which point the player will pass out. If a player passes out they will wake up in bed, having been dragged there by one of the town's doctors, who will also have taken some of the players money as a call out fee (details of this transaction will appear as a letter in the player's letter box).

The game saves only after the player has gone to bed, commencing the end of the day. Any progress made throughout the day is lost if the player does not sleep.

Sleep will restore the player's Energy to full if they go to bed before 12:00AM (Midnight), and to half if they go to bed after. If a player passes out they will start the next day with the same amount of energy as when they passed out.
