Once you talk to Mayor [[Lewis]], the dance begins.  After the dance, the festival ends and you are returned to [[The Farm]] at 10pm.

Also note that if you have divorced a bachelor/bachelorette, said marriage candidate will turn down your dance proposal and respond instead with angry dialogue.
