Most of the "note" is opinion and one specific example, with a conclusion that it doesn't matter. ???

==Note==
  −
While Food appears to grant a much larger buff than daily Fortune Teller luck, they are calculated differently.
  −
  −
For example, the formula for getting a staircase when you break a rock is: 2% + (100%/rocks left on the floor) + (luck buff/100%) + (daily luck%/5).
  −
  −
So on a maximum good luck day with Magic Rock Candy's +5 bonus, assuming 20 rocks on a given floor, you would have 2% + 5% + 5% + 2% = 14% base chance. A somewhat annoyed luck day of -.05 with food that gives a +1 bonus would grant a 2% + 5% + 1% - 1% = 7% base chance. A somewhat good luck day of +.05 with a Pumpkin Soup that gives a +2 bonus would grant a 2% + 5% + 2% + 1% = 10% base chance.
  −
  −
In other words, any +1 food buff, and any Fortune Teller result, give an almost unnoticeable effect on finding ladders from rocks, although Magic Rock Candy does give a noticeable benefit by itself, and a +2 or +3 food buff on a good luck day can combine to provide a noticeable benefit.
  −
  −
For other instances, the calculations are different as well, so there's no rule of thumb for how much daily luck vs food luck affects anything.
