A Pig is an animal in Stardew Valley. Pigs can be purchased from Marnie at Marnie's Ranch for data-sort-value="16000">Gold.png16,000g, after owning a Deluxe Barn.

Produce

Pigs mature after 10 days. The Pig will dig up Truffles and leave them on the ground, which sell for a base of data-sort-value="625">Gold.png625g. You do not need to stay on the farm screen for them to produce truffles.

A pig's chance of creating produce is governed by the the rules listed in the Produce section of Animal Care with three exceptions:

  1. They must be let outside to create their produce.
  2. They cannot produce truffles in Winter or Rain.
  3. They have a chance of digging up multiple truffles, which is a percent chance equal to Animal Friendship/1500. At max friendship this means they have a 66% chance of creating an additional truffle. Multiple truffles can be made until the animal fails this check.

Warning: Pigs will NOT PRODUCE ANYTHING if they are at a high enough mood and friendship to produce a "Deluxe Product", because the animal type cannot produce Large or Deluxe products.
