Not to be confused with Lost Books.

Books are used to give players advantages, such as powers, XP, and quality-of-life updates like seeing sell prices.

You can always check which powers you have in the section Special Items & Powers of the player tab.

When reading a book giving experience in a certain skill, players will earn 250 XP in that skill after reading the book along with a message saying "You have learned a few things about [skill]."

	Dwarvish Safety Manual	Bought from the Dwarf for data-sort-value="4000">4,000g (Can be bought multiple times)	Bombs deal 25% less damage to you.
	Friendship 101		You become friends with people a little faster.
	Horse: The Book	Bought from the Bookseller for data-sort-value="25000">25,000g	You gain a little extra speed when riding a horse.
	Jack Be Nimble, Jack Be Thick	Bought from the Bookseller for data-sort-value="20000">20,000g Can also be obtained from Artifact Spots	Gain +1 Defense.
	Jewels Of The Sea		Fishing treasure chests have a chance to yield roe.
	Mapping Cave Systems	Found in a box in the back of the Adventurer's Guild	You get a 50% discount on Marlon's item retrieval service.
	Mining Monthly	Bought from the Bookseller for data-sort-value="8000">8,000g	Read this to gain some mining experience.
	Monster Compendium	Dropped from monsters in every situation	Monsters have a small chance to drop double loot.
	Ol' Slitherlegs	Bought from the Bookseller for data-sort-value="25000">25,000g	You will now run a lot faster through grass and crops.
	Price Catalogue	Bought from the Bookseller for data-sort-value="3000">3,000g (Can be bought multiple times)	You can now see the value of your items.
	Queen Of Sauce Cookbook		Learn any Queen Of Sauce recipes that you don't already know.
	Stardew Valley Almanac	Bought from the Bookseller for data-sort-value="10000">10,000g	Read this to gain some farming experience.
	The Alleyway Buffet		You have a greater chance to find items in the trash.
	The Art O' Crabbing	Obtained as a reward for catching 10 squids during SquidFest	Crab pots have a 25% chance to yield double.
	The Diamond Hunter	Bought from the Dwarf in the Volcano Dungeon for 10 diamond	All stones have a chance to drop a diamond when mined by hand.
	Treasure Appraisal Guide		You will fetch a better price when selling artifacts.
