The Secret Woods can be explored after upgrading your Axe to Steel.  Heading south out of your farm and taking a sharp left (West) all the way to the edge where you will be greeted with a hardwood log to chop.

The Secret Woods can be explored after upgrading your Axe to Steel.  Heading south out of your farm and taking a sharp left (West) all the way to the edge where you will be greeted with a hardwood log to chop. The Secret Woods contains 6 Stumps you can harvest daily for a total of 12 Hardwood a day.

This is the only area where you can catch the [[Woodskip]]. Also it is the only place where the player can find [[Morel]]s, [[Fiddlehead Fern]]s and [[Chanterelle]]s.
