:Dinosaur Eggs are considered Artifacts for purposes of gifting, not Eggs. Artifacts as a group are considered a Universal Dislike--all villagers dislike them with only a couple of exceptions. You will note that under Pierre's Dislikes, it says he dislikes all the Universal Dislikes except Fish (you can click through to see all the Universal Dislikes if you're not sure). Since Artifacts are not one of Pierre's exceptions to the Universal Dislikes, it means he dislike Artifacts, including Dinosaur Eggs. Hope that helps.
