【NOT SURE,but it happen's to me a few times. When your spouse ask you for a child, and you say yes, during the period before the child born, DO NOT GIFT to other eligible bachelors/bachelorettes, or else it will lose happiness and then the child is gone.. Your spouse will ask you again do you want a baby or not later when happiness is max. So I GUESS, it needs full happiness to have the child born】
