Re-added after testing to reconfirm that some furniture items can be placed off the farm, and how they (and other furniture-like objects such as chests and artisan) will be deleted if placed poorly
Line 10: Line 10:
After the first Farmhouse upgrade, Robin also offers the Furniture Catalogue for sale at the Carpenter's Shop.  Once placed, "using" the furniture catalogue allows you to purchase furniture items for 0 in unlimited quantity.

Decorative objects such as lampposts and the Tub o' Flowers, and functional equipment like chests and artisanal equipment can be placed outside the farm. However, if an NPC is pathing intersects with the object, the object will be deleted entirely. Deletion will not happen if the NPC can path through the object, such as path tiles.

Furniture will display a green square on tiles where it can be placed. The tile will turn red if the furniture cannot be placed.  Right-clicking on some furniture while selected will rotate it.  Other furniture will be placed by right-clicking while selected.  Some furniture can be picked up and moved by left-clicking; other furniture requires a tool to remove it once it is placed.  As of v1.2, several items that previously required a tool can be picked up by repeated left-clicking.
