Revision as of 18:20, 28 September 2016

Artisan goods are items that can be created on your farm by various processors. They can take anywhere from a few hours from a few days to be processed, and require only one ingredient (or none, in the case of the Tapper/Bee House). Most Artisan Goods don't have a star quality and the product does not take account of the star quality of the ingredients used. After reaching Level 10 at Farming and choosing the Artisan Skill, all Items are worth 50% more.

Mayonnaise Machine

All eggs can be made into mayonnaise. Using a Large Egg, Void Egg or Dinosaur Egg will always give gold star quality mayonnaise.

Bee House

A Bee House produces Wild Honey every 3 days.
With the exception of Sunflowers, the Bee House can produce unique types of honey when it is in range of a blooming flower (within 5 tiles horizontally, 4 tiles vertically). When there is more than one type of flower within range, the closest flower takes priority. At equal distance, more expensive flower takes priority.
Bee houses can be placed inside the Greenhouse, but will not produce honey.

Preserves Jar

Quality of ingredients and level 5 Farming profession makes no difference to the finished product. The value of the finished product is determined using the base value (i.e. with no silver or gold star) of the fruit/vegetable . However, the preserved version is always more profitable than even gold star produce, although the profit margin is lower compared to normal produce. The product has a prefix of the ingredient used, Ex. if Crystal Fruit is used the item will come out as Crystal Fruit Jelly.

Cheese Press

Using a Large Milk or Large Goat Milk will always give gold star quality Cheese or Goat Cheese respectively. Using Milk or Goat Milk will normally produce no-star quality cheeses, with a very small chance of producing a higher quality cheese.

Keg

The price of Wine and Juice is not affected by the quality of the ingredient or the level 5 Farming profession. The end price will always be based on the selling price of a normal quality fruit or vegetable. Kegs are typically considered best for long-term results at growing a mass amount of Starfruit and turning them into Wine can be extremely profitable but takes a long time.

For whatever reason, processing time calculates differently while sleeping versus being awake. 1 hour equals 60 minutes when awake but, equals 100 minutes when sleeping.

So if you sleep a whole day, the machine would process 2400 mins. (100 x 24)

If you work from 6:00AM till 12:00AM., and sleep 6 hours, the machine will process 1680 mins a day. (60 x 18 + 100 x 6)

If you work from 6:00AM. till 2:00AM, and faint 4 hours, the machine will process 1600 mins a day. (60 x 20 + 100 x 4)

For example, Preserves Jars need 4000 mins to work. If you sleep the whole process, you need to sleep 40 hours, less than 2 days. If you work 18 hours a day, it takes 2 days, 10 hours and 40 minutes.
