Fishing is the skill associated with catching [[fish]] using a fishing rod and gathering creatures using crab pots. When players cast their rod into the water they will have a bite, releasing the fishing button will trigger a mini-game.
The fishing game goal is to keep the small fish icon in the rectagle until the bar on the side of the mini game window fills up completely. If the fish icon moves outside the player rectagle the progress bar will go down, and the fish escapes if it reaches bottom. The bar can be moved up by clicking, and holding, the mouse button. It's important to carefully click and hold, success is difficult if you're frantically clicking. It's also useful to keep the fish near the top of the fishing bar, as clicking to raise it is instant, but there's a slight delay when it drops and the extra space helps compensate.
The fishing game takes careful timing and practice, don't be discouraged if it's not immediately successful.
